Hello all - I am from Mississippi, which most of you may know is the "fatest" state in the good ol U S of A!

Little bout me, I am 33 (just celbrated my bday on the 20th), happily married, but love to eat. I am at a breaking point of 198lbs, and have been told by my doctor that my cholesterol is a bit high. Lets not forget that over the past 2 years, I have gone from a size 30" waist (125lbs) to a size 36" (198lbs) and that 36 is not fitting very well any more. Its time to do something for me. I have a beautiful wife and a 5year old daughter - I need to be healthy and take better care of me. My main problem is MOTIVATION I just cant seem to jump out of bed in the morning and get rolling, and too tired in the evening to do anything... so HELP any suggestions? I have signed up and my fitness plan starts on Monday -

Welcome to suggestions!

welcome to ft, Chad... The only person that can amke you do it is yourself, so make it non-negotiable, after about a month it should be a set routine.

I like to have my clients write out a pro/con list on a sheet of paper - the upsides of being healthier and fitter and what will happen if you continue on the downward path you are on...usualy rereading this list is a good motivator to get to the gym :)

You can find plenty of motivation here! Just ask :)
