There is a couple of things you could try

1-drink more water
2-eat 4-6 meals, that way you always have your nutriments so,no cravings.
3-eat more fibers, they are the good carbs, whole wheat, fruits, steel cut oat and such.
4-splenda,okay,splenda taste so great(those crystal thingy)
but you have to be careful not to overdo it cause, even if they don't have sugar, your system might confuse it (the taste) and raise your blood sugar, meaning more cravings!
5-check your sodium level, might be way off on this but its worth it.
6-this one is up to you but, you could use some "Hoodia".
Hoodia is a plant from Africa,it,when ate properly, stop craving for up too 4hours but see,i weight ~180 and had to take 1000mg in order for it to work.
Hoodia is not a fatburner, look for Hoodia pur.
7-Lastly,almonds, I always have a bag on top of my fridge and I grap some(careful, some doesnt mean a handful)it contains good fat and it was proved in a study that it can slow down cravings.

Hope I helped!

Yankeegirl, it will also depend on your meals, what you are eating and when. it sounds like you have blood sugar swings...get on a good eaing plan where you get carbs, protein and good fat at every meal and it should level out.
