Hello everyone. As the header says I'm a single dad to a 1 yr old and haven't worked out in a long time but Im trying to find time to get back in shape. I Would really appreciate any advice. From what I have read thus far this site seems to have some very well informed people.
Ok here's some of my info
Im a 28 Yo Male.
6'0 215pds.
I am starting weight training in my home 5 days a week 30-90 mins depending on what Im doing and the time i have available. I have alot of excess fat but alot of muscle underneath there too.
I would like to get down to about 180-185. Ive limited my calories to around 2200 a day and the only supplements i am using are a multi-v, creatine, and Protein shakes with 2% milk.
I suck a cardio but get in a few hours of basketball each week and am hoping to do more soon. Any advice would be appreciated. Especially if there are any good supplements for energy or sleep as I have a very hard time maintaining both! Thanks in advance.
welcome to ft! Your energy should increase once you adjust to the changes, give it a week or two. the sleep issue... what time of day are you exercising? How do you unwind at bedtime? there are some supps that might help, but first you might want to examine your bedtime habits, caffiene consumption and other factors that might be affecting your sleep. it would be cheaper ;)
