HI! Im new to this thing, and I'm very optimistic about this site since it has excercises included and it doesn't promise you anything unless you do the work.. very realistic, not like other sites lol :)

Im 25, female, loves drinking beer, loves my carbs but relized that I have to start losing weight since I am now 180 lbs and it is really scary coz i wanna love longer hahaha :) I used to drink beer everyday but Ive already cut it down to weekdays and have started experimenting with wine (a healthier option perhaps?). I also love my carbs grrr... BUT Iam going to try counting the calories I take in (which Ive never done) and the exercises on here. Any helpful tips are very much welcome! :)

Welcome to FT. I love beer too. My waistline does not however. The more sugar and starchy carbs you can remove from your diet the better. Excessive alcohol consumption will stop weight loss dead in it's tracks. It looks like you know what to do. Good luck!

Hahaha I see you can relate to how much i love my beer hahaha :) Yeah I hope I can succeed in this :) And I am training myself to learn to drink lotsa water (which i rarely do before). Thanks!

hey i just joined i hope it works. also love to drink beer. I think cutting down to once a week should be ok. I am also 180 lbs and 26

i just joined today. I gotta have support or i do not do good. as long as i know someone is puttin in an effort i feel bad if i dont workout so i will workout. lol. Im not to big on beer but i love crown n jager n jack just to name a few. lol im 23 with 2 kids. n at 4' 10" weigh around 150. id love to have a group or something to check in with everyday or so. anyother support groups would be cool if anyone knows of any.

Nobody likes beer more than I do, but that's one one thing that can really hurt your weight loss efforts. The calories are fairly empty, and the alcohol slows your metabolism down. This is especially bad at night when your body is already starting to slow down. So limiting how much you drink will be a big help. That's not to say one a day is gonna kill you, because at the end of the day it's always about calories consumed vs calories used. But you do need to be aware of calories and portion sizes, as well as your daily calorie limits.
