hey there,
Lol, i have the same problem with loving sleep...The only way i find to get out of bed, is to set the alarm earlier, and hit the snooze button a couple of times...That way it feels like you're getting a lie-in!! its the only way ive found to get up on time... Hope this helps |

well, another idea is to set a loud alarm really far away from your bed, so to turn it off, your'e already out of bed! its another effective method that I've used for getting up...By the way, how did the first work out go? :)

I finished, she did not :O) But so far so good for me :O) Been doing the workout made for me on here.. and some extra cardio stuff too :O) Are you doing a workout program also?

Hi, I'm new here. I don't have much of a problem getting up in the morning, hubby makes sure of that. It's staying up that's the problem. Also, I have weeks that are full of appointments for the kids and sis-in-law and other errands so by the time I get home I'm too tired to workout. I haven't done anything this week. I also find it hard to go on a diet. I have to eat what the family eats because we are on a food budget, not to mention hubby keeps bringing in junk food (cordial cherries are out now). How can I keep from getting into his stash and stay on track with my diet and exercise?

G'day guys, sounds like there is a few of us new ones on here! I'm in the same boat but I just keep getting up & going to the gym, my trick is to train to some music that helps pump me up! (AC/DC) is a good choice! also a trick with the alarm clock on the other side of the room is to turn it up enough to scare you awake!
cheers! lets keep up the work! |

hey again! haven't been on in ages, been at a mates...its funny seeing how many people have a problem getting up in the morning...i just thought it was me lol...if the alarm idea doesn't work, there are some alarms on the market that actually roll of the unit, or fling a propeller into the air, and it doesn't turn off till you find it, or get the propeller blade back...they can be fun :D and yes, dcburton, it does need to be loud enough to shock you, otherwise you never wake up lol

Haha! I need to find one of those alarm clocks lazyboy! I soooo tried the alarm across the room and all I do is wake up, turn it off and walk back to bed lol. :O) I really stink at this thing! Welcome everybody, to our fun little message board! Fmcclain, I have the same problem with my roommates! They are always pigging out on pizza and mcdonalds! Ugh.. it's very frustrating! I know you said you have to eat what the family eats... so why not try to make healthy, but still tasty things, for the whole family? Make the same things that they like, but find healthier ways of cooking it or healthier ingredients like organic food. :O) Or low fat... don't tell them though! lol If they don't know it's healthy, then they will eat it just like anything else lol! How's everybody doing????

hey again! i found some sites that sell good, novelty alarm clocks- "Sonic BOOM" is a good one- it has a vibrating pad which you plug in, and vibrates when the alarm goes off...good idea i think lol

Hi Melly, I really understand what you mean about, "Yea today is the day I start doing something", and then ooops, maybe next week. You can say that has been me for about 10yrs. I have started to do something about it 6months ago. April I had a Doctor tell me I wouldn't be around for long for my son, if I didn't start losing weight. I was 330lbs, not a light boy you can say, but since then, I have gone down to 256lbs. Not at my goal yet. See I'm a single dad, and love my son more than food. So I have pushed away from the table. I also started walking, and a very, very lite jog. I have seen my body go threw the changes that have put a smile on my face. Fitting in pants that I thought could never be bought. Now I'm looking into gyms, nothing fancy, I want to join a dungeon you can say. A place where people just come to workout, not look at eachother. Friends have been impressed with the new look, girls or looking again, but not interested. I feel if a person has to look at a persons outside before there inside, then they are to shallow for me. Now this is not true to all the people, this is only true for those who knew me before the weight change. But I found the reason why I needed to make this change, my son. I was wondering did you find your reason. Sometimes that's all we really need to keep to the goal. I hope to hear from you. I think maybe I'm a little boring, because I haven't dated in so long, and will it's kind of hard working 48hrs a week, and doing the father things, cooking, reading, dressing, ect., my son. Anyway good luck...hope to hear from you.
