Just a quick intro before posting knucklheaded questions.

I am 50, male, overweight and trying to do something about it. I am on an eating plan (approx 2000 cal) as I do not diet. Goal is -2 lbs a week, 5 weeks down 13 lbs, current weight is 219 so I have a way to go. I have worked with a trainer 2 days a week for the last month but got a little disillusioned as my basic fitness wasn't where I needed to be for his routines. He had a set routine that he used for the day and it wasn't for me. I found this site, sprang for a years membership and created a FT weight and toning plan for beginners. I will continue working out 4 days a week on the machines and cardio.

With that said I hope to be an active reader of the boards and throw out a question or two as they arise.

By the way I live in Anchorage, AK so my workouts are inside during the winter and consist of fishing and hiking in the summer. Cold and white today

Welcome to ft :) I hope the plan from ft fits your needs better.

It is always hard to watch inexperienced (or even experienced)trainers who use cookie cutter routines for all of their clients.
