You can't have your cake and eat it too. You have to diet specifically for one or the other to make any appreciable gains either way. For weight loss, try eating around 10-12 calories per pound of body weight per day. Try your best to get in 5-6 smaller meals during the day. You have to be your own hero, and make the right choices for yourself. Check some of the stickies in this forum for specific meals.

At 315 I would concentrate entirely on fat loss. If you do a workout that consists of a heart rate acceleration factor along with a resistance workout, you will more than likely see some muscle growth as a 'tag along' and your quickest progress. This would be a circuit type workout.
However this will be miniscule, what it will do is burn fat and build muscle endurance, which will in other words be firming the muscle you do have underlying the fat.

I am morbidly obese. Any suggestions for a diet plan. Also, I need an exercise program. I have problems doing a lot of exercises due to an automobile accident. This is how I gained weight.
