I've never actively bought stocks. We have changed the strategy on our IRAs a few times. I've invested in commercial real estate for 20 years. So far even in current times tie income has been steady. I am a little frightened of the capitol gains tax if we ever sell. I'd love to hear a bit about your investment strategy. Our IRAs took a beating last year.

Seemed to be useless posts, noone seemed interested, so I deleted them.

We went down about 25% over 2008. How do you trade? Do you use a broker or have a service you can handle yourself? What's the fee per trade? Tell me about that kind of stuff. Talk in basic language Ron. You seem to be as advanced a trader as you are a BB.

I'm not stupid but I usually feel stupid when I read your posts. I retired at 53 but I have no idea what a stochastic, candlestick or volume is as pertains to trading. At some point we'll sell property and I'd love to handle my own investments. I'll have a difficult time ever trusting a broker after the carnage and seeming incompetence of this past year.

Suggest some beginner, intermediate and advanced books to me. About all I do now is workout and tend the crops.

Hhmmm...guess weight training and finance do not mix. :)

I think they mix but I'm not sure how many people are still active in the market. I got completely out a year and a half ago when it became obvious it was going to be a repeat of the tech bubble burst. I deploy to places that isn't exactly favorable to track and trade so gold is the only thing I'm holding right now.
