I am a sohpomore and have done basketball since I was little. This year I started having an ongoing knee problem. At first it would hurt for a couple days then feel better. But at our game the other night I must have really twisted it wrong or landed on it funny...It swelled and I felt a little burning that night. Its a tight feeling. When I sit down and get up, its hard to walk because I have to stretch it. I cant fully bend my knees to the ground because it wont bend all the way. The past couple night I've slept with it propped on a pillow and this morning I woke up and it had fallen off so it was straightened. Lets just say I couldnt bend it for a couple minutes...I've iced it every night and I took the day of practice off after the game. Tonight I decided to practice again and it felt fine until I barely tripped over a girls foot and it feels like it did before! Anyone know what the problem could be? The main pain is on the inside of my knee and its tight all around. Feel free to ask questions if I left anything out.
THANKS!

See a doctor - how could anyone possibly know whats going on without training, an xray , physical evaluation and manipulation....

i also suggest to see a doctor, on the side of your knee bones there are "flaps" on each side of the knee cap, that could be a possible problem with your knee, so try to go get an xray

sounds like you may have torn your meniscus. See a doctor and you may end up getting an MRI done to see what kind of damage you have done.
