on thursday i was doing military presses and the next morning my back hurt llike hell i had a hard time sitting up for a couple of days its getting better but i cant tilt my head down without getting a sharp pain in the middle of my back on both sides and when i lay down i sometimes have pain after getting up. i think i might have twisted it or pulled something during one of the sets. any advise? anybody know what i did?

It can be quite serious so do not ignore. Stop doing exercises that put starin on ur lower back like squats, deadlifts etc. In shoulder exercise perform while being seated. And consult a Doctor. KA is right.

i didn't go to a dr but its starting to feel better not much he could have done anyways now its just stiff a lot

Do your over head pressing seated with a chair of some kind so you have back support,or if standing wear a weight lifting belt,keep looking straight ahead dont turn your head side to side looking at other gym members,to see if their looking at you...:cool:
