Weight training in the morning?

Hey,
Just wondering if it is ok to weight train straight away after you wake up? Or could this cause muscle problems? (stretchs,tears ect)

I would eat something/drink something first. A 'liquid' meal may be ideal here, as it is quick digesting and usually in the early morning you are hard pressed for time. I used to work out first thing every morning when I owned my store. This was really the only opportunity I had as I was open late daily/7 days per week.

Hi
I usually train in the mornings. Usually take a mrp as soon as i wake up and then hit the gym 30min later. It works for me. After training i take whey protein shake and then have a light breakfast.

combzie Remember to drink 4 or 5 cups of coffee before doing anything or you could do some damage to your self,like ifty786 said drink a mrp which will pobably give you the hershey squirts:angry:,so eat somethin solid like wheat bread or a couple hard boiled eggs,best of luck.

HEY I drink a pot a day and at least 15 to 20 OZ before a workout.

not drinking coffee before a workout isn't going to cause damage that's the part that isn't right not saying the coffee is a bad idea thought maybe not 5 cups
