Hi! Well, I finally joined a gym for the first time in my life! I am not overweight but I really want to get into good physical shape and get myself toned up. I have made some half-hearted attempts at home over the years and that never lasts. So I made the commitment to go learn how to do this right and DO IT. I have been going to the gym for about a week now (alternating days). I did get a brief overview of each of the nautilus machines and how they work. Of course, I feel like I'm bumbling around the gym without a clue and feel quite foolish. Nevertheless, I am doing it.
I've been trying to educate myself about how to work a strength and toning regimen; alternating days and muscle exhaustion to determine weight/reps. So far I do about 7-10 minutes on the elliptical to warm-up and then use the nautilus machines (legs, arms, back, stomach. Well, all the ones that I remember how to use when I get there. :0
Anyways, I'm hoping this community will help me achieve my goals and maybe help me not to feel like such a fumbling dofus in the gym.....eventually.:cool:
