Hi there..I am a 35 fat mom of 3 beautiful kids and sooo scared of the future! I just joined tonight and got on the scale for the first time in a while. What a shocker! How do the pounds add up soo fast. I have been trying to walk during the winter but I guess it wasn't enough. I am very nervous about starting a fitness plan but I know I need to. Does anyone want to be a buddy with me? My hubby says I can nag with the best of them! Some advise is always welcome!

First things first: Get your diet under control, then start adding physical activity. Diet is the determining factor in your success. Take a look in the diet and nutrition forums for some great ideas to get you going.

Returnofplex hit the nail on the head with the diet bit. I weighed about the same a year and a half ago, and was able to shed about 50 pounds with just a dietary adjustment and patience. Adding a regular exercise routine can only help. The thing is to stick with it until it becomes a habit, and you won't see the ups and downs.
