im just trying to get in shape for basic training anyone got any ideas for training. dont have any exercise machines..just want to tone up

I believe that a lot of running and body weight exercises should be in order.

Push-ups, sit-ups, and lots of running. It will be a little intense at first when you get there. If things haven't changed too much from when I went (Feb 2003), then plan on 3 days a week of running and 3 days a week of push-ups and sit-ups.
