hi my name is george and i got a question, if anybody can help me out..i weight 230lbs and i want to lose weight but at the same time gain muscle..so should i do less weight or do a lot of weight workout? i dont know which one would help me out to do this...if anybody has any opinions or comment feel free please..thank you..

Unfortunately this is one of those situations where you can't have your cake and eat it too. That is to say that if you want to either get big gains in muscle mass or lose a good amount of weight, you have to eat and lift specifically for each goal.
I'd say that you'd want to lose the weight first and then decide if you want to add muscle mass. Some will suggest doing it the other way around, but I've gotten a lot of satisfaction out of watching my body grow when there wasn't a lot of fat on top of the muscles.
At any rate get a program from this site for whichever is your goal at the moment(weight loss or muscle mass) and work from there. If you're going for weight loss, beware of the calorie calculator on this site. It estimates pretty high.
