I'm officially a Powerlifter!

Meet Results

Squat

245 3 White
265 3 White
303 3 White PR Joined the 300 club today!

Bench

225 3 White
248 3 White
253 3 White

Deadlift

348 3 White
374 3 White
402 He pulls it up smooth and fast it feels and looks easy but for some damn reason after he locks it out and he apparently doesn't hear the down command he keeps pulling hyper extending his knees and leaning way to far back just to have his thigh pop the bar right out of his hands and now he still remains out of the 400 club and screws up his chances of hitting 2 milestones in 1 day.

All I had to do was take the bar back down you know the easy part of the lift!

Raw Total = 930

All and all it was a great day and even though I got pissed for about a minute I regained my pride for a great day at my very 1st meet with many more to come.

In all my lifts I got to follow Scott Cartwright as he made history Squatting 1025 then he got a 705 Bench along with a 770+ not sure on exact number but is was around 700 to 705 Deadlift.

Videos to come later in my log.

Congrats on the successful meet, went a lot better than any of my first meets.

I had no idea that the "Becky" you were referring to in your log was Becky Rich.

Good lifting all around for your team.

Keep it simple and get into the 1000 Raw Total Club Which should happen within no time.

I can pull and lookout 405 so there is about 30 just there and my squat should start climbing a bit but my bench is where I want to get that 285 Gym Pr into a Meet Pr.

I actually did the Bench 285 with a pause but this all 3 commands that make the bench a bench and the off and on elbow flare have set me back bad.

Lots of Elbow prehab will be a new implement with mini bands.

Oh and to get to know Super Training and make frequent trips to train up there with my team as they have been doing for a real long time.

I only did what I did because of my team and I saw so many lost lifters that day it makes me grateful for my team.

Thanks guys, I'm still ticked at that 3rd deadlift but the but being so overwhelmed with happiness for attacking me 1st meet correct and going 8/9 over rides that and has me chalking it up as a lessen learned.

I get to hit a milestone next meet that's all!

I bit my tung on this but this makes me laugh as you watch a video of our team and basically talked shit and now say this.

My team is very respected by Mark Bell, Scott Cartwright and all of Super Training as the share there knowledge and have given us equipment like a Forza Bench.

We aren't ST but we base off them and take trips to train and mentor off them.

My team has talent I'm the clueless one on the team!

Thanks!

Squats where easy for a PR I couldn't believe it even the deadlift was easy but the bench almost got me in the second attempt and is why I was told to only do a 5 pound jump for 3rd attempt.

Yeah Bill had a mental issue with squats so he is going back next month for another shot at elite because that's what he is going for.

Yes Marcus is in a suit.

Matt is going gear now to leaving just me and Becky as raw but I will go gear in time I just want to be able to consistently hold squat form as I did that day before I try holding heavier weight for gear.

I may do another in June if not then I will have to wait until October.

I know you were in question about my team and how they worked me but after that meet I saw how much they really know and my performance is a refection of that.

I'm curious as to when you think I was talking shit about your team. I even checked your log, and if you think any of what I said is "talking shit" or even disagreeing with anything they do, then you really need to straighten your panties out and and get back under the bar.

Go ahead though, post the 'shit talking'.

That would be Power Panties LOL anyway I took it when you said if anything they have good taste in music so I took that if anything as meaning only the music was good so if I read into that wrong I'm sorry but that's the way I took it.

Scott "Hoss" Cartwright came to pay us a visit and I wasn't there becuase I fucked my shoulder up the day prior don't that just suck!

Nah man... I genuinely love 3 Inches of Blood, and the "if nothing else" part was meant that I know nothing about them.

I never commented on their training style (only a couple of the lifts they were doing, lifts that we also do) because I don't know what their training style is...

As for power pants, I'm a huge fan of rehband and other neoprene "shorts" for all my squat training.

I'm going to slowly get into gear as I got an old pair of Centurion NXG Super Plus Narrow Squat and Dead suite this should be a good start to get a good feel before I buy the new stuff out there.

I'll wait on a bench shirt I think for a while as they seem to be the most difficult to learn.

I am going to put my 2cents in on the issue of gear and how to incorporate it.

I recommend single ply to start out with, or at the very least double ply briefs. I myself tried to incorporate a Metal Ace squat suit, and I was incapable of controlling it. Granted, I have a lot of work to do on keeping my knees out, but it got to the point I was not comfortable under weights I could hit without it.

In regards to bench shirts, I learned my Metal Bash fairly easily. It is said to be an easy shirt to learn tho. It is also a little big.

Single ply gear is a little easier to control, but some of the new gear is crazier than double/triple ply stuff.

definitely investigate before purchasing these things. i got the suit hand-me-down, but bought the briefs (used) and shirt (new). of course, you could always get something a little big, and rely on growing into it or get it altered...

Yeah gear is a slow gradually move and like I said I got a 2 year old suit and I don't really ever see me going double ply Hoss don't even use it he likes single ply better!

Enzer hardcore is what my 1st suit was...still use it.I still don't like briefs they "cut" too much.

Not sure how you bench...but my 1 ply katana was pretty easy to learn.
