Ok, here I go... I am 45 yrs old, have high blood pressure and low blood sugar. I have been working a night shift and between inactivity at work (not much happens at night) and poor eating habits I have ballooned up 215 lbs, I am 5'4" tall. I need to lose about 50"bs. Any diet and exersize help will be greatly appreciated!
#1 Get the diet under control. It's the absolute Pass/Fail in fitness. For you I'd suggest 1800-2000 calories a day with the exercise program.
#2 Make time for the gym. Strength training, and cardio.
#3 Persistence. Don't let yourself get discouraged by a slow start or a week with less than stellar results.
