I know that the Olympic barbells weigh 45 lbs. But how much does the non-Olympic barbell weigh? I am referring to the long thin metal bar with the threads and the end to screw on the "lock".
Thanks in advance K

I wonder if this bar has a lot of curves in it or not.. at the gym I went to there is a smaller straight bar that weighs about 20-25 (never weighed it but its pretty safe to assume it isn't 15).. and the ez-curl bars weigh 15... neither one of them are spinlock bars tho.. so i'm not sure if a spinlock bar they might sell you in the store would be hallow and weight 15 no matter what it is...

My memory could be playing tricks on me. I bought my bar a while ago..

You may want to weigh this on a scale if you're not sure...or compare to a 10 pound plate. Some bars weigh only 5 pounds.

sorry, i should have been more specific. The bar in question is the smaller straight thin bar - one that would be used for bicep barbell curls. 10-15 lbs sounds about right for that. I think the longer bar is about 25 lbs.

when i submit my weight online do i need to include the weight of the bar? Example, if i bench press with 45lbs on each side should I enter 90lbs or 135lbs
