In my nutritional plan It says I am supposed to intake 3636 calories. This seems like a lot of calories since I am trying to lose weight?

Don't be confused it doesn't work properly.
Heres how to calculate calories, it's simple.
!2-15 calories per pound of body weight. So wanting to reduce, start at about 14, as 15 is in the area of maintaining. See how that goes for about two weeks and adjust if necessary. Never go below 12.
There are other and easier ways to reduce and not have to count calories. Just change your eating habits and what you are eating, I guarantee you would see results.
Again good luck.

I'm sort of the other way round! I'm trying to get my body in shape to put on a bit of muscle, but I'm sorting out my diet first. Am I right to increase my calorie intake?
My apporx. intake should be 2100, but I'm going for 2625.
Will this do much, or am I aiming to low?

Not for weight loss. Weight loss is about caloric deficits.
