I originally said; I am 20yrs, male, 218lbs, about 50lbs from where i want to be. I dont need lectures but please let me know if i will get results by drinking like a fruit smoothie for breakfast or healthy cereal, slim fast for lunch, and like fish and rice for dinner and working out twice a day for about 40 min, and i ride a bike to work, a fairly physical job. i just want to start by losing weight fast and i will switch up to a healthy program in a few months??
the reason for my stupid method is because i dont know anything about anything and also ive tried to get healthy a million times before. If im pushing myself i can stick to it better, i feel better about it. if im just slowly dieting lightly and exercising lightly i have a hard time getting motivated. and also my diet is probably stupid but its simple and easy to do and pretty cheap i dont have too much time to make elaborate meals, anyway i would still apreciate any advice please dont ridicule me im just stupid and need some help

Welcome to the board, taskey...

No one is here to ridicule you, but you do need to start and continue with a healthy method. There is no quick way to fat loss that is healthy and sustainable.

Check out the diet forum and start from there... grab the grocery list and take a look at it.

Preparing meals doesn't have to be complicated or take a lot of time.

What you are about to do to yourself will cause more harm than good. I know losing weight slowly sucks(trust me, I'm on my last 5-6 pounds and it's brutal) but it's the best way to keep it off.
The diet your suggesting compared to the calories you'll be eating(way too few for your activity level) will more than likely result in an immediate drop in weight. HOWEVER, your body will more than likely go into "starvation mode" soon after. That means that your metabolism will have slowed to a crawl in order to keep your body functional. Anything you eat beyond the norm at this point your body will want to store as fat. So what I'm saying is that the weight will creep back and then some. Then it'll be even harder to get back into the weight losing mode once you're ready to do it right.
Just as Tim said: Check out the diet an nutrition forums for more specific advice. BB1fit posted an awesome cutting diet that is stickied there, which will be much easier to come off of than the one you're about to undertake.
It's hard to do, but trust me it's the right way to do it.

My suggestion is that if you want to be active twice a day, do cardio in the morning, and strength training at night. This will help to keep you from over training(if you were lifting twice a day). Calorie wise, shoot for around 2500 a day with protein being the central player.
What I do is strength training(followed by 10-15 minutes of very moderate cardio) M,W,F, and do more intense cardio Tu, and Th. On the weekends I usually find some way to get active but not to the same degree as the week days.
