Hi Im a newbie
Im just starting a new diet and fitness plan as i was doin a no carb diet and not much excercise just lots of sit ups every nite, its not giving me the results i want :( I am 22 and 7stone 5 (can someone tell me this in kg)but i am only 5ft1 so i tend to be slightly flabby around the middle and have a very sweet tooth and on occasion bindge on junk(most wkends)
I also cant afford the gym right now and find it hard to get motivated.
I have a 6 weeks target and i want to lose a couple of pounds and be very fit and toned. I was thinking about starting this mornin run everyones talkin about and lots of excercises at home in the evening.
Can anyone help with lots of tips for me (diet, excerising and just any general weight lose advice)
If just doing sit-ups every day could flatten our bellies, then just about everyone would have a six-pack.
There are programs available on this site for just body weight exercise that can still help you shape-up. HOWEVER, the one key factor to finding success is your diet. Do a google search for "metabolic rate calculator" to get an idea for your daily caloric needs.
The binging will have to stop. Instead, make small allowances here and there for the sweets, that way you wont crave them so badly.
I don't believe in long term, no carb dieting. In my opinion just reducing your carb intake to 30-40% of your over-all daily calories(and increasing your protein to fill that gap) will make a big difference.
