I'm hoping to take part in a strongwoman comp later in the year and I was wondering if anyone had any tips on how to train/what to train with...

Go here http://sccoachmatt.conforums.com/index.cgi?action=login

Matt DeLancey runs and owns that site and not only is a Conditioning and Strength Coach at Florida State he is working on being a Pro Strongman.

On this site he is known as gatormade!

Cool! Thanks for that... Too bad I'm in New Zealand and can't get to any training session!

Look for clubs in your area.....New Zealand has a good history for strongman/women people.

Gator's forum is a great place to start. I read it regularly, though I don't post that often, and steal ideas from that site and his log all the time.

What part of NZ are you in? I know of a few people training in NZ currently, if something is in your area that would be your best bet.
