Why are some workouts great and other days I feel sluggish, weak, beat etc.? Its been this way for the last decade. Some days Im on point, and other days not. Its not sleep deprivation or anything, because Ive had great workouts on days where I didn;t sleep and horrible ones where I got a ton of rest. It has to be something more subtle that Im not thinking about.

Do you keep a note of your diet on a daily basis, it could be something you are either eating differently or something you have missed out from the previous day?
Just a thought.

It very well could be sleep. With sleep apnea (which I have) your body is woken up continuously sometimes up to 35 times per hr. Most of these apnea occur while you are not even aware. You may want to still get a lab test done.
I am better now, although I sleep with a cpap machine.

There are so many variables to a great workout and a bad one it is hard to quantify it. Even though I have had workouts where each set was a new mile stone for me and so on. Then a week later I can hardly hit close to those numbers again.... you need to take the focus off each workout and look at it from a wider view point if that makes sense.

Do you mean, like the bigger picture, take a weeks worth of figures , and as long as the average is getting bigger week on week, then cool, or is it even wider than that.

Eaxctly I can see from my workouts that month by month I am getting stronger....same thing with weighing yourself everyday you tend to see only small losses not the fact that you are losing
