heeeyyy my name is stacey and ive just recently graduated.
i wanna complete a triathalon, not for any fact other then the big fact that i want to prove to myself i can do it. commit to something that is gnna kick my butt, nd come out on top :)
im young, nd im healthy. im just lazy, nd i hate it. i need to do this for me.
my dad is a very established nd seasoned athlete, nd althouhg i could go to him for help, im choosing not to. he was a qualifier for the 84 olympics, so his idea of training is top notch nd almost like boot camp. its not that i dont want to work hard, i just dont want him breathing down my neck. so alll that said, if anyone has advice, encouraging stories, insight or lives in the vancouver, b.c. area nd have rlly nice running, biking locations, lemme know!

thanks guys :)

Hi Stacey, when are you planning to do one?
How's your current swimming ability, cycling equipment, running ability etc?

All the best to you Stacey. I have done 5 or 6 tri's. The thing that is missing is are you doing it to just finish or do you want to compete? I have done mine just to do them I have one my age group once but next year is the year I am really getting serious. Going to take some swim lessons and get my stroke fine tuned. So you need to decide if you are just going to "finish it" or ROCK IT. I have a site that I go to and has helped a lot and there is a BC section so you might find some people close to you that you can train with.

Check it out a great place. Sorry if I was not supposed to post a link to another site
