I was wondering how to tone down on the transverse abdominals, and just get some could core abs, because i am one of the people who when they start to get abs the "side" abs, or transverse abs start to look like love handles and give me more of a square look, but i am wanting more of the "V" look. Any help?

for the v look you have to put emphasis on your shoulders. That way you get the illusion of a smaller waist and broad shoulders.

Don't forget to work the back also. Those lats can really lend to a good "V" look. There is some conjecture about directly working the side abdominals and how this may lead to them having a more pronounced look to them.

I would pay special attention to Barbell side bends and dumbbell side bends, and broom stick twists. And lots of good cardio exercises and well balanced diet will help curve those love handles,so you wont have a muffin top sticking out or your pants.
