I read somewhere, you'd need to burn 3000 calories for a pound, is this correct?
Another questions- Is sweating like crazy while exercising, means, you are probably burning more calories than what the machine says?
Also, what should my heart rate be at, I am 25 yrs old, 208 lbs.

The machine is showing you an "average" for calories burned, unless you enter your weight and age as well. Also it doesn't take into effect how muscular you are or aren't. So in short the answer is "maybe" to your sweating question.

If you are asking what it should be during cardio exercise your maximum heart rate according to your age is 195.
For exercise purposes you should reach between 65%-85% of this for at least 15 min. If you are not accustomed to exercise, gradually work up and make sure you are healthy before attempting any exercise.
