hey there- just wondering if anyone could help me out. I've got a job in the far east starting quite soon. I'll be out there for 3 1/2 months or so. I want to improve body strength - i play a lot of rugby (it's american football without the pads, if you don't know) but i'll be departing just before the season starts- and also lose a bit of weight i've put on over the summer! I'm 18, male, a big guy (6ft 6inches tall and around 15.5 stone) and i've never done serious weight training before. Also, i'll be working in quite a poor area (i'm doing volunteer work)- so it's very unlikely i'll be able to find a gym. Can anyone tell me what sort of stuff i should be doing (in addition to the 4week plan) to increase strength and lose a bit of weight? Cheers

The far east? I wonder where that is. I am terrible with geography. To lose weight, you should make sure to include some cardio, like biking, swimming, running or whatever else you like, a few days a week for at least 30 minutes. While you are away, you could just repeat the four week program, or you could get a bench and some dumbbells and start doing one the eight week programs on here.

Maybe you could try using resistance bands, too. Maybe even a medicine ball. Those you could at least carry with you.
