I am not to sure if this question has been asked before or not. If it has I apologize. My question is, is it better if a person splits up certain body parts per day or is it better to work multiple body parts per day? I am wondering is it all up to a certain individual or is there a certain amout or significance behind each method. I just finished the eight week beginners program and was going to start a new program, that would fit better into my school schedule and was wondering if cutting down to four days a week would be just as beneficial as five. Thanks for the help.

Oh yes to answer your last question, cutting down to four days a week would definitely be as beneficial as working out for five (and you'll probably get a better work out since you'll rest more).
It doesn't matter how many body parts you work daily as long as you follow a program and that you work the entire body once a week.

After your 8 week "beginner" course, you should be plenty advanced enough for at least a four day split. By doing this, you can put more emphasis one each muscle with each workout. You usually only do full body workouts at the very beginning to acclimate your body. There are many combinations you can use for say a four day split. Best of luck to you...
