My weight has settled into being consistently 30-40 lbs overweight for many years. My goal is the lose at least 10 lbs. every 2 months. I'm not looking to body build; just to get less round. I have a gym membership at 24 hr fitness and have structured my workout schedule for the first 8 weeks around 1 hr gym classes. Can someone let me know whether my workout plan is fine or whether it needs tweaking? Thanks.
Monday - 8:30 am - 20 mins on the elliptical followed by 1 hour spin class
Tuesday - 9 am - Camp class followed by 1 hour swim (about 1 mile)
Wednesday - 10 am - Lift class
Thursday - 9 am - 20 mins. Elliptical. 20 mins. Treadmill. 1 hour swim
Friday - 9 am - Lift class. Yoga class.
Saturday - 9 am - Lift class.
Sunday - Rest
I know it's probably better to work on separate muscle groups each day but at the start, I thought it would be better for me to do the lift classes so that I can learn the moves and be motivated.
