I am Jennifer and new to this whole thing. I got married last summer and have really gained some weight. I have never been a skinny girl, 155 lbs was probably my lowest weight ever. I am happy with that, after having kids and the rigors of marrying a soldier my weight has gotten out of control. Three months ago during a visit to the doctor the scale read out 218 lbs. In my mind that is way too much. I have tried using the gym on post, but looking at all the soldiers is kind of discouraging. My main goal is to lose 60 lbs over the next year while my husband is deployed, while also toning and getting into a better general state of health. I don't know if my goals are too lofty, but I can only say that I am unhappy with the way I look and feel right now.

60 pounds is doable. First and foremost take a look at your diet. Getting that dialed in will make the biggest difference

Returnofplex is right. Look at what you are eating and start elimainating the high fatty foods. You will be amazed at the results.
Don't feel intinidated working out at the post. Use it for encouragement and motivation. YOU will look like them one day.
Give yourself a year, and you will be in shape.
Start today, by writing down everything you eat including water.
We can help you get to where you want to be.
Please thank hubby for what he is doing.
