Ok, I am new here and this seems to be the best I've found so far to get some assistance. I am 6'9" and about 500lbs. This will not do.... I would like to get back to a solid 300 but the weight goes on ALOT easier than it comes off. In my "fitness plan" it does not give beginning weights to start lifting..... any suggestions or comments would be greatly appreciated
Sometimes you begin with no weight at all. You should be able to do the reps but they should get harder to do toward the middle and difficult at the end of the set. Rest between sets. It's different for every person. When a certain weight starts getting "easy" it's time to go heavier. At least this has been my experience in the past and has always worked well. I've had to lose large amounts of weight in the past and I know what a struggle it is and how overwhelming the numbers can be. Don't focus on the numbers, focus on your progress.
