I kinda found out about this place on accident ... I'm kinda confused, trying to take everything in.
I've been trying to get into shape for about 3-4 years now ... but I was mostly going off tidbits of knowledge gleaned from other sites and forums I am a part of (though none of them were fitness specific websites).
I could never get a fully formed idea of what I needed to be doing, what was truly effective and healthy. I would work out 4,5,6 days a week sometimes, hoping sheer effort would compensate for my shortcomings in knowledge and diet (I really do not eat right ... I never developed good dietary habits and didn't believe I had the will to do so).
I have some resources ... a few small handweights (3 lb/10 lb/20 lb pairs), an old stationary bike and a standing heavy bag.
I guess I'm just vastly confused and am not sure what I should be looking for, what questions I should be asking, what I should be doing or working toward. I know I want to lose weight/bodyfat, and improve my strength and energy.
Help? Please? Someone?
