Hi!!!
My name is Jenn and I am excited to have found this site and I hope that you can help me...
In 2008, I started my weight loss journey at 200lbs. I created my own diet plan and began working out with several different BeachBody programs and was able to lose 85lbs in 8mo! I am currently 28yr old, 5'1" tall and weighing in at 122.5lbs with 20% BF.
My issue is this....I am still not happy with the way that I look. I would really like to get down to aprox 115lbs and 15-17% BF but for the past several months, I have hit a wall and haven't dropped a 1lb. I was searching to the BeachBody message boards and I was advised that the 1900cal a day I was eating was not enough to lose weight, that I needed to increase my calories to get over my plateau. Below is a typical daily diet(this is what I have come up with-an approx 100-200cal increase over my old plan):
4:30am-5:30am Workout
6:30am 1/2scoop whey protein, 6oz Dannon Light N Fit yogurt, apple
9am One part skim string cheese, pear, one multi grain Wasa cracker
11am Banana and 2oz unsalted almonds
1:30pm One Perdue Perfect Portions chicken breast with 4cups baby spinach, 1/4 cup carrots, 1cup cauliflower no dressing
4pm 1/4 steel cut oats mixed with water and 2cups strawberries
5pm-5:45pm workout
6pm Lean cuisine(not the best but pressed for time) and 1.5cups steamed broccoli
8pm 100cal bag of Smartfood popcorn
According to fitday.com:
2,085cal
66.3fat
276.7carbs
115.2protein
I was told I should be able to lose weight with this diet, but all I feel is bloated and full, I never feel hungry enough to eat.
I should also note that I work out 7days a week(I love it!!)
Any ideas what I am doing wrong???

Sometimes you have to cut the workouts back; your body needs time to build up what you have torn down with your workouts and to just rest. You could try focusing on the areas you feel unhappy with instead of the numbers. I know, my journey sounds alot like yours. Also, I've had trouble with carbs like oatmeal and popcorn, even bananas causing bloating and cravings. I try to stick to vegetables and a few whole grains, but I eat the grains earlier in the day. If you use the diet tracker on here it will show you the break down, I think you need more protein.
