Hi there! I'm 25 years old, I'm 5'7" and weight just over 200lbs. I've never been this heavy in my life and I'm pretty ashamed and tired of it. I've been having to shop at plus size stores, which even thought they have cute clothes, isn't what I want to be doing. My goals are to lose 50lbs and wear size 10 jeans. Right now I'm wearing size 14/16 depending on the store. I want to be more physically fit, active and healthy. I'm an RN so at work I'm on my feet a lot. That means that on my days off all I want to do is sit. This needs to change. I'm excited that I will have the support of a community that is kind of in the same boat as me. I look forward to getting to know some of you. If any of you have words of advice or good easy recipes please let me know. Thank you so much!

Good luck Briana. You have a support crew now pulling for you and you can rest assured we are in the boat with you. Congrats on getting fired up about it.
Im trying too and I'll tell you that the absolute best thing that has helped me is this----5 or 6 small meals streatched out over the day (may be tough in your line of work) with some protein source in each and every one. One of mine might be yogurt with some whey protein powder mixed in.
Just eating 3 hrs about and including protein each time will kick up your metabolism.
Good luck, we are pulling for ya.

Hey Briana! I'm 25 too and am trying to lose 30 lbs before my wedding. I spend my entire day walking (I work one on one with special ed students) so I know what you mean by wanting to spend days off just sitting. That was me too until very recently. I started by sitting and watching fitTV and other workout shows. That really got me motivated to get up and do something. I also moved all my workout stuff to my living room so that they are available anytime.
Anyway, I wish you luck and stay strong!
