Hi! I am trying to get back into shape by eating healthy and exercising. My problem is that I have been a couch potato for a few years! I am trying to do this the right way, and not do a fad diet. This needs to be a lifestyle change that I can adhere to easily. I know it will be difficult in the beginning, but any advise would be greatly appreciated to get me going in the right direction. I am 5'4, at 240 and REALLY motivated to do this! Thanks in advance for any advice!:)

I am no expert but I suggest that you start gradually. You can start by drinking too much water. A glass of water with a squeeze of lemon in the morning can jumpstart your metabolism.

I totally agree with Magpie09. Some women shy away from weights beacuse they think they'll beef up but light weights wont and will really help to kick off your weight loss.
