This site has been a godsend. Thank you all so much for these for all the useful information Ive gotten over the years. I have two questions that have been plaguing me though.
1. What is the proper mixture of cardio and weights? Im trying to lose about 20-30 pounds, then put on some muscle. Im confused because I keep hearing that you should do weights in order to burn more fat, but that you cant gain muscle while trying to lose weight. So how does that muscle help you if you cant gain it in the first place while losing weight? What should I do?
2. Last time, things went well, but I hit a big plateau and no energy because I wasnt eating enough. How should I plan out my diet and exercise to avoid that? Start with light exercise and small decreases in calories and make it more intense over time?
