Hey my name is Brittani Dempsey, I am 18 years old and overweight. I have a 2 and a half year old son who is my world. I want to make a new healthier life style. I am 160 pounds and want some advice.

Welcome aboard Brittani. This is a great site, I have been using it for over a year and am holding my weight around 135 lbs.

Remember that this is a lifestyle change not a quick fix. If you start getting discouraged remember that you are doing this for you and your son. Also make it fun, incorporate your son in to your workouts, this will also show him that an active lifestyle is a great lifestyle.

Make sure that you also change what / how you eat. Try to stay away for processed foods and fast foods. Try to prepare home cooked meals and share this with your son as well, this will benefit him too.

Good luck and remember to ask for help and we will be here to answer questions and help keep the motivation up.
