okay so I am basically monster hungry after my work out usually, I wait for about two hrs after my meal to work out, am I waiting to long or am I just not eating enough? is there any suggestions what to have to eat before a work out if I am trying to lean out?

I eat 1 hr after I work out and it has not affected my fat loss. I also drink a shake before I go and work out

You should eat an hour before you workout and make sure to drink water before and during

If you are trying to lean out, you may want to work out on an empty stomach. The idea is to deplete glycogen stores, and on an empty stomach, this should happen fairly quickly. The idea is that then your body will go to fatty acids for energy.

Okey I always train early in the mornings. When I only do cardio I don't eat anything before but if I weight train I drink a protein shake (mixed with water) just before.

Straight after the work out I take glutamine and vit C and then I wait for another around half an hour (time to take my shower etc) before I eat my oats.

I'm also on a diet (competition in three weeks!) and I'm still losing fat. Anyway it works for me........

cuz I work over nights at a job (group home) I can't work ouit in the mornings. so its work ouit in the afternoon with cardio now, generally and if I don't do cardio, its swimming at night before work.
