Hi guys, I keep reading if you eat 1500 calories per day to lose a pound a week on average you need to burn 2300 calories per day, now I don't know too much about this but that sounds extremely hard, 1 full hour on a treadmill alone is only around 400.
How is it possible to burn 2300 a day with out exercising for 3-4 hours a day which is obviously not viable as I don't have 24/7 to work with study and courses and all and it's also unhealthy I have read.
So how is it possible?:(

I don't think your initial post is quite right about 1500 cal/day. Considering the average human needs around 2000 cal/day to live, burning 2300 seems a little odd.

Well I heard if you eat around 2000, to lose a pound a week or something like that you need to subtract 500 off that, so 1500.
Then I read you need to burn around 2300 a day for around 5 days a week or something.
and surely you can live off less than 2000 calories lol, seeing as there is for example Lite n' Easy meal plans for 1200 calories a day lol?

the average is 2000.. so, yes, some people can live off of less than 2000 calories per day... what I suggest you do is find out your Basal Metabolic Rate and add a few hundred calories to that. The BMR is the minimum amount of calories you would need per day to survive.. just laying around, breathing...
There is one here: http://www.bmi-calculator.net/bmr-calculator/
