Elbow cracking

Two years back i had my hand in a cast for a couple of weeks. This involved keeping my arm bent and held across my chest for long periods. Ever since then whenever i fully extend my left arm there is a loud cracking from my elbow. This is even louder if I haven't moved my arm in a while. The cracking itself doesn't hurt but my elbow sometimes aches and when i try to do tricep exercises it can be painful.
