Hello everyone, my name is karen.
I was never so determined to change my lisestyle and to lose weight. I am planning on losing about 50- 60 pounds and hoping to maintain it in the long run. I work out on the treadmill and can keep up a good pace for about 30 mins. An obstacle that I have is my eating habits. Most of the time I either overeat or dont eat at all. I need tips on how to eat small balanced portions throughout the day, and maybe a few tips on what i should really avoid eating.

So glad to have you here with us, welcome and thank you for the introduction!
While 60lbs may seem overwhelming but it is very much attainable. Most of the time, it in the mental challenge of setting the goal and sticking with it that is the hard part.
Things to avoid are pretty much any sugary snacks, fast foods, pops, etc. To make it easier to eat more during the day package your meals. Good ideas are whole grain crackers, trail mix, fruit (fresh and dried), etc.
You are on point when you say you need to eat more often.. simply by increasing the frequency you will have already taken a big step.
Best of luck and keep posting!
We have a daily check-in group as well as a weigh-in group that will fit great.

Agree with you George. I eat multiple times a day and I know when I am hungry. The biggest thing not to do is miss breakfast. Eat something. If you are not use to breafast start with a piece of fruit and then make your mid morning snack a true breakfast. A co -worker sets a timer for when she should eat. Also, not that you want to spend the money people are raving about weight watchers new program...real food sense. Good luck! Anyone can accomplish what they want one step at a time.
