Hey I just found this site today :D i'm looking for different exercises for at home, different meal ideas that can be used to substitute for the whole family. The ironic thing is we actually eat pretty healthy here lots of veggies, portion control etc. my main problem is I am a stay at home mom who's hubby is workaholic, I have a hard time getting out and doing things for myself. I would think its safe to say i'm an emotional eater, happy, sad pissed off etc. for the most part I make good desicions I don't usually have a lot of crappy food in the house. I need to stay away from pop and figure out how to dump the sugar from my coffee without feeling deprived, I can't do anything with aspertame it gives me a headache. I love to bake not always to eat it myself but making things for my family and others it makes the house smell homey, I love to cook but admittedly I am a much better baker as I excel at comfort foods. I need to get on track and stay accountable I want to loose 60-65 lbs this year not to fit in a particular outfit, nobody I know is getting married, i'm not doing it for anybody but me. For once it going to be about me.

Try using Agave syrup for sugar substitute. My son is horribly allergic to aspertame and he told me about Agave syrup. It can be found in the grocery store or the big box stores like Sams and Costco. It is pricey but you use 1/4 to 1/2 of what you would use for sugar. I use it with canning and use 1/2 Agave and 1/2 sugar when baking. It does not have that awful sweet taste either. As for being a stay at home mom. Walk to the park, dragging the wagon, plop a kid on a bike seat and go for a ride.My favorite find a great hiking trail and get some info on the nature that you will see on the trail. Did this with my two and learned alot about trees and flowers. You do not have to go far but every time you go out you will find motivation to do more and the kids will love it.  You can and will loose the weight just take it slow and set small goals. Heck, I am happy with 0.4 pounds at at time. Also don't forget inches count as much as pounds. Good Luck.

I was walking 5 km a day with kids n dog but i've been benched for a while due to a foot injury that has made it too painful to walk to the front door let alone around the block :( lucky I finally got into the dr's and I got answers and apparrently when my orthotics come in will help the healling process. I got in a resistence band exercise last night with a friend and stability ball tonight :)

way to go. Keep on keeping on.  I love the ball. There is an entire section on this site for just using the ball.
