So I've wound up with a very painful hip flexor... I am experiencey low back, hip, quad and glute pain from it. Lovely.
Suggested to me was the Graston Technique. Here is some information on it:

While I was getting prepared for that by the chiropractor, he also suggested A.R.T. Here is some info on that:

Both of those, combined with time seem to be helping. I'm not gonna lie, the A.R.T. hurts like hell.
I would recommend either of these techniques.
