Does anyone know how long it will take for me to see actual results in the change of my body. I do weight training and cardio 5 days a week (30-45 mn cardio & 1 hr weight training). My husband and I have been in the gym on our weight program for 2 full weeks. I know I am not gonna see results that soon but I was just wondering when I would be able to see any results. Thanks for anyhelp you could give me |

Mmmm start taking creatine, eat 7-8 times a day, drink plenty of water and workout for 1 hour a day each day with 1 day rest, this got me a gain of 12 kilo's in under 3 months.People now think I am on hormones cause I widened so much in such a short period of time hehehhe Its really not hard when you invest all your energy in your eating habits. Working out is nothing, its what you put in your mouth that counts. Kind regards, Enkidu |

i dont think she wants to gain weight dude. eating that much u must of put on some fat as well.babypearl, it really depends on the person. but the general idea is that you'll see results in 6 weeks. make sure ur diet is clean and results will show faster. |

Well you are still at the begining of changing. You might start by looking at every peak and valley on your body. You will start to see suttle changes week to week. Stay off the scales. In a month you will see your waistlines a little different, and you should start seeing more definition around your shoulders first. I didn't read your profile but it all depends how much fatty tissue is on your body. You should feel a lot different than you had in the past, if you weren't active at all.Good Luck and keep us posted! -------------- The trouble with jogging is that, by the time you realize you are not in shape for it, it is too far to walk back! Normally it'll take between 4-8 weeks but that depends on the person, the training, diet, rest etcYou and your husband are doing great, just continue and you'll get the results fast!! Good luck! -------------- - Nina :o) Les Victoires éternelles sont celles du coeur. |

Try what I do once a week. Every say Thursday I weigh myself and also measure my waist, my hips, and under my tush. You may not be loosing weight right away but you will see you sizing begin to go down. |

from what I understand you lose weight from top to bottom. That's what I've been told before and is what is happening to me. I also do strength training and noticed a significant difference in my muscles toning up. It took about 1 month and a half of a somewhat similar workout to yours for me to notice. My arms and legs are much stronger, toner with weight training at least 3 times a week, increasing the amount of weight I lift each week.
Stick with it, you will notice a difference soon |

you will never see results unless you plan them and review them. photograph yourself, yeh even in the nude, wow! then measure your entire body, weight/hip/calf/wrist/forearm/waist/chest the lot.... and that's that for say 5 weeks? eh do ya think? 5 is ok?
then measure again but photograph every 6 months? see where your going in picture and shape change... but also measure say the running machine now how many minutes at what level and speed and the heart rate max on the elliptical trainer.. right it down too and in 5 weeks check your progress, is it better or are you the same lazy one as when you started,, look for progress run an extra mile a week then an extra mile again till you can do 3 sessions of 4 miles every week then improve on it... or are we talking weights here? change my word running to weights or suat and 4 miles into 40 kilos etc... you will never see a result without a statistic to go by as you never notice changes in yourself because you are always there aren't you? That's why dstant relatives always turn up with boy you've ''put on weight/lost weight/caught the sun etc...'' |

I guess I am one of the lucky ones. I can work out a week and make enough change that other people start to see the difference. My battle is once I reach a plateau. Thankfuuly with the help of this site, I think I can make the adjustments and do the things to continue progressing.
I started seriously working out in October. For motivation I started a "Biggest Loser" competition on a forum that I post on. So, my deal was posting a pic every month. It got a bit discouraging because there didn't seem to be much difference month to month. But then I compared the pre-workout pic to the last and I was happy again. I am really anxious for tomorrow as it is month marker #3. This month was my 1st using weight training and I know there will be a big difference in the picture!! Toby, it's all mental man!! I feel the same way at times, but I just use that as motivation for my workouts!! |

toby, I can tell you for me 4 weeks is nothing. Just keep plugging away and one day it will happen, people will start commenting, your clothes will loosen up.

tobym22 no need to post this multiple times. One time will do the trick.
