I just read on a few articles that some Glutamine out there still is not fully stabilized and could have side effects, is this something that is allready fixed or do I need to worry when taking it?

http://www.musclesurf.com/gl3glut12gra.html

This is the product I ordered, is this the stabilized version or not??

Kind regards,

Metabolites of glutamine CAN become something called an excitotoxin. This can have adverse effects on the brain and other parts of the body. But, don't worry about this happening to you. I've read cases of cancer and AIDS patients taking 60g+ of glutamine a day for various reasons with no adverse side effects. I take 20g a day myself. Its one of those supplements that really does work; its not just a bunch of hype. No need to worry about a thing.

Thnx Bennet,

A sigh of relieve there, finally a product that delivers and I can safely take it:):)

BTW did you have great gains using it, or what are your views on it, how can you tell from own experience that this is a great product??

I didn't gain 100lbs of muscle in 10 days or anything by taking glutamine. The body uses glutamine to shuttle ammonia around in the body, so blood levels of glutamine try to maintain constant. Glutamine is craved by the digestive tract and the immune system as a fuel. It plays a principal role in protein metabolism, cell volumizing, and anti-catabolism. It also boosts your immune system; glutamine is converted to an antioxidant. From all the demands on my body (training, work, raising an 8-month old, etc) the stronger my immune system the better. I have not had a cold, flu, or anything of the sort for over 2 years now. I had food poisoning a couple months ago, but that's not something that I could've forseen or prevented. I attribute a healthier immune system to glutamine, which I definately need; I'm a middle school teacher and there are dirty little kids everywhere!
