Hey, I'm starting to lose weight and build up some mass.... I have degenerative arthritis in my back, any suggestions on how to strengthen my back quickly so I can really start to work?
That is a good question! I don't have an answer for you but if I come across something I will be sure to post in here for you to see if that will help you out. To start off though I would just use your own body mass when working out your back like lying seated rows (instead of sitting down on a bench or machine and doing a regular seated row you would be lying with yout back towards the floor, arms points up in 90 degree angles and your body in a plank position with only your heels touching the flooring) and you would pull yourself up towards a parallel bar that is even with your chest.
