Hi everyone, I'm a little more clear after searching some of the previous posts but one thing is still not clear. I trying to lose that hated little bit of fat covering my lower abs and I understand that in order to do that I need to incorperate cardio into my workouts. However I have heard it is negative to do cardio during certain times if you are also trying to put on muscle mass. I was wondering if there was a good schedule to include both and get the most out of them. I currently lift 4 times a week and play light sports 4 times a week. Thanks to anyone who can help

If you're trying to define your abs, you can't realistically gain muscle at the same time. Defining your abs starts with your diet and the type of diet you use to cut fat is entirely different than one you'd use to gain mass. Pick one and do that first.
