Learn to eat properly. Your diet is the best start point. Eat whole unprocessed foods. Learn to count calories and particularly protein. Learn the difference in simple carbs and complex carbs and which one not to eat.
A training routine should be varied. You need to train for strength, flexability and endurance . You need to change up what you do.Keep your body guessing what you're going to do next. One overlooked aspect of training seriously is to enjoy what you do. You're more likely to stick with it.
Big goals are great. Figuring out a way to make fitness a lifestyle is the surest way to a positive outcome. I've trained 45 years. I found lots of things to do that I like.
