I've noticed that some of the muscles in my body, that i haven't trained in ages, are still as big as they were. I heard that the body breaks down 30% of muscle if you don't train it after a while-is this true? coz it doesn't seem to e so....

I think the reason most people atrophy when not working out, say a couple weeks or so, is they stop their good nutrition plan. You cannot stop feeding the muscles, keep getting good amounts of protien, and the muscle should stay around a while. It won't be as strong as if you were still working it at your training sessions.

But if you keep training, you'll keep using your muscles..... We got more than 600 different kind of muscles and they all work together so when you do one movement you'll automatically contract other than the absolutely needed muscle. But if you want, try stay in your bed for one month without moving or doing anything but sleep........ Here you'll see a muscle break down! As bb1 says, diet is very important as well.
