Is it ok to do the military press while standing or should you be seated? and why?

I do it both ways but like seated better. It doesn't put as much strain on my back.

If you do it standing it is ok, just bend your knees slightly to take the pressure off your lower back.

Well said Carivan.
Do what you feel is best for you. Often just to warm up I do the exercice standing and when I take heavier I'm seated.
